US officials: Trump will decide when to hold Intel stock.
According to BlockBeats, on August 10, White House National Economic Council Director Hassett stated that US President Trump will decide when to hold Intel (INTC.O) stock.
As previously reported by BlockBeats, on June 18, US President Trump posted on social media that the US clearly needs to bring its semiconductor industry back to the US. "We designed everything, and we need to manufacture it in the US now. So I decided to help Intel because we need to design and manufacture our chips in the US."
First, we brought in Nvidia, who agreed to partner with Intel to manufacture their Tier 1 chips. Second, Musk agreed to build his TerraFab, the world's largest chip factory, designed in collaboration with Intel's technical team. Finally, Apple agreed to partner with Intel to design and manufacture its chips in the United States. We decided to help Intel in exchange for a 10% stake. Is that too much or too little? When the U.S. government made the offer, they were worth about $100 billion. Now they are worth over $600 billion. In nine months, that's increased in value by over $500 billion. The U.S. government's stake is now worth over $60 billion.

Holding nearly 890,000 ETH and approximately $1.4 billion in crypto assets valued at GAAP, Sharplink's second-quarter revenue increased to $11.5 million, but it still suffered a net loss of $394 million.
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Sharplink has released its financial and operational results for the second quarter and first half of 2026, ending June 30. The company's revenue for the second quarter reached $11.5 million, compared to $0.7 million in the same period last year; net loss was $394 million, compared to a loss of $103 million in the same period last year. This includes a $321 million non-cash unrealized loss and a $76.1 million impairment charge on LsETH/weETH. The company stated that the above losses were mainly due to changes in accounting valuation and did not affect the actual number of ETH held. As of June 30, Sharplink held approximately 887,000 ETH, with crypto assets valued at approximately $1.4 billion under US GAAP. As of August 3, the company's ETH holdings increased to approximately 889,000 ETH. During the same period, the company's cash and cash equivalents were $56.2 million, up from $28.5 million at the end of 2025. Recently, Sharplink completed a $75 million registered direct offering and purchased approximately 10,000 ETH at approximately $1,611 per ETH. Simultaneously, the company repurchased approximately 2.1 million common shares at an average price of approximately $4.70 per share, costing approximately $10 million. Since August 2025, the company has cumulatively repurchased approximately 4.07 million shares, totaling approximately $41.7 million. Furthermore, Sharplink has been included in the Russell 2000 and Russell 3000 indices and has partnered with Galaxy to launch the Galaxy Sharplink Onchain Yield Fund. Hassett: AI may be the most important policy issue in the next two years

GameStop CEO is considering withdrawing his $56 billion takeover bid for eBay.
According to BlockBeats, on August 10, market sources reported that GameStop (GME.N) CEO Cohen is reportedly considering withdrawing his $56 billion acquisition offer for eBay.
On May 3, GameStop formally proposed to acquire 100% of eBay for $125 per share, totaling approximately $55.5 billion in equity value, and disclosed that it had established an economic interest of approximately 5% through stock and derivatives. GameStop stated at the time that the transaction was intended to be supported by approximately $9.4 billion in cash and liquid investments, plus up to $20 billion in acquisition financing from TD Securities.
On June 26, the company stated that management was still moving forward with the proposed acquisition, and more materials would be released later. However, eBay's board of directors formally rejected the non-binding proposal on May 12, calling the offer "neither credible nor attractive," and specifically pointing to uncertainties regarding the financing plan, post-merger leverage and operational risks, as well as governance and management incentives. eBay had previously stated that it had not contacted or negotiated with GameStop regarding the proposal before receiving it.
