According to BlockBeats, on September 8th, the largest short seller on the PONS chain, "Loracle," continued to increase his short positions, currently holding 26 million PONS. However, with the price correction, the current value of his short positions has slightly decreased to $18.67 million, resulting in a floating loss of $1.6 million. The opening price was $0.66, and the current price is $0.72. Previously, his PONS short positions had a floating loss of over $7 million.

Fractal Bitcoin completes its first halving and officially expands to the Bitcoin mainnet.
According to a recent tweet from Fractal Bitcoin, the network completed its first halving at block height 2,100,000, and the FIP-102 proposal was officially activated. The official announcement states that network nodes and indexing services are running smoothly after the halving. This upgrade marks the official activation of the FIP-102 proposal, extending the distribution of Bitcoin (FB) from the Fractal network to the Bitcoin mainnet, providing a direct path for a wider range of Bitcoin users to obtain FB. After FIP-102 activation, the actual block reward on the Fractal side further decreased to 6.25 FB, with an additional 6.25 FB allocated to the Bitcoin mainnet. FIP-102 does not increase the total supply of FB; the block reward distribution for Fractal-side co-mining, free mining, and indexing mining remains at a 1:1:1 ratio. The specific Bitcoin mainnet distribution mechanism will be clarified in subsequent FIP-103, with a target launch in the first quarter of 2027.
A whale that previously profited over $5 million from Changxin Memory Technologies increased its holdings in ANTH, bringing its total holdings to $6.163 million and representing approximately 27.5% of the total OI (Online Investment) market.

The U.S. Treasury will announce the size of its Treasury bond repurchase program tomorrow; the market is focused on the scale of Bessant's intervention.
According to BlockBeats, U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessenter's resolve to support the bond market will face a test on September 8th. At 11:00 AM Eastern Time on Wednesday (11:00 PM Beijing Time), the U.S. Treasury Department will announce the maximum amount of its planned repurchase of 10- to 20-year U.S. Treasury securities. On September 10th, the Treasury Department will also announce the exact amount actually purchased under the repurchase program that began in May 2024.
The U.S. Treasury Department previously stated that it would repurchase at least $4 billion of long-term Treasury securities from the market each time before November 4th, up from the previous $2 billion. However, the Treasury retains the discretion to increase the repurchase scale as appropriate. The market widely expects Bessant's intervention to ultimately exceed the previously announced repurchase target.
