Non-US users in compliant jurisdictions worldwide only need a wallet and internet connection to access US stock exposure without brokerage accounts or settlement delays, and can trade anytime in the 24/7 AMM pool. Initially supported stocks include companies such as Apple and Nvidia.

Tokenized stocks, as standard B20 tokens, can be freely held, transferred, and traded, without whitelisted wallets or platform lock-ups. Their key significance lies in DeFi integration; users can use tokenized Nvidia stock as collateral to borrow money on Aave, or deposit Apple stock into decentralized exchanges to earn yields. For the first time, stocks transform from static assets in traditional accounts into on-chain programmable liquidity units. Dividends and stock splits are handled through on-chain multiplier mechanisms, ensuring that DeFi holdings are not interrupted. Ecosystem projects such as Aerodrome and Aave have publicly supported the B20 standard.

Coinbase stated that it will launch more tokenized stocks in the coming weeks and continue to push other real-world assets onto the blockchain, opening up new possibilities for developers to integrate traditional financial assets with the crypto-native ecosystem.
