According to a CNBC report on August 27, BlockBeats reported that Jim Cramer, a well-known financial host, stated that the core reason for the continued acceleration in demand for Nvidia's AI chips is that downstream customers have been able to quickly generate profits through AI infrastructure, and the return on investment is no longer a distant expectation, but a reality that is already happening.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang previously stated in an earnings call that the return on investment cycle for some $50 billion data center projects has been shortened to less than a year. Cramer believes this means the debate over when AI infrastructure will become profitable is gradually being resolved.
In addition, Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced that it will purchase an additional 2 million NVIDIA GPUs between 2027 and 2028, deploy Vera CPUs, and apply related technologies to the robotics field. It is worth noting that despite Amazon's active development of its own AI chips, it continues to expand its procurement of NVIDIA products.
Nvidia CFO Colette Kress stated that the company's growth this quarter will primarily be driven by customers outside of hyperscale cloud providers, including "new cloud" companies such as CoreWeave and Nebius, as well as enterprise customers. Cramer pointed out that currently about 50% of Nvidia's customers are not hyperscale cloud service providers, indicating that the demand for AI computing power is further spreading to a broader enterprise market.
According to BlockBeats, on August 27th, Goldman Sachs analyst Jim Schneider stated in an interview with CNBC that Nvidia's latest fiscal 2027 second-quarter results exceeded market expectations, and its revenue guidance for the next quarter also surpassed analyst estimates. Driven by the company's optimistic outlook for revenue growth in the next fiscal year, Nvidia's stock price rose approximately 4% in after-hours trading.
Schneider points out that Nvidia expects revenue to grow by approximately 70% in fiscal year 2028, indicating that demand for AI infrastructure remains strong. The market's current focus has shifted from short-term performance to whether the AI computing power investment cycle can continue, and whether Nvidia's high-growth expectations for the next few years can be realized.
