According to BlockBeats, on August 21st, the whale "Set 10 Big Goals First" continued to update his trading trajectory and insights on the X platform tonight. He stated that at the 72500 level, he considered re-entering his long positions, placing limit orders between 70500 and 71500, but they were not filled. "I wanted to re-enter the long positions I had previously closed. I placed long orders in advance between 70500 and 71500, and simultaneously placed a short order near 76000. My expectation was that if the price first retraced to 70500-71500, I would re-enter the long positions; if it didn't retrace, and instead quickly rose to around 76000, I would trade a pullback after the upward movement. In the end, the long order below was not filled, but after the short order at 76000 was filled, the price continued to rise all the way to above 79000."
So looking back, the real mistake in this phase wasn't judging the medium- to long-term direction, but rather underestimating the strength of this upward trend and betting on a pullback too early.
Despite a recent short position loss, the whale still stated that "the current profit is still around 70 million."
According to BlockBeats, on August 21st, Tom Lee posted on the X platform stating that investors waiting for the bottom of the crypto market in October need to re-evaluate the risks of timing the market. He cited Fundstrat's "Rule of 10 Best Days," pointing out that Bitcoin's long-term gains are highly concentrated in a few trading days.
Tom Lee stated that historical data shows most of Bitcoin's gains come from the 10 best-performing trading days of the year; if holders miss these 10 days, their investment returns could drop significantly. Data shows that capturing the 10 best trading days for Bitcoin yields a cumulative return of approximately 162%, while excluding these 10 days results in a return of -14%.
"This week has become one of the 10 best trading days, and long-term investors should choose to hold (HODL) rather than try to time the market perfectly," said Tom Lee.
