Developer da7em reported to the official team on X that when using the platform's GLM model, duplicate contexts seemed to fail to trigger cache deductions correctly, instead being treated as entirely new inputs and billed repeatedly. Screenshots of the bills disclosed by da7em show that the actual token usage recorded by the development tool zcode was approximately 270,000, but the platform's final billing statement showed a consumption of nearly 5 million tokens, an amplification of the bill amount by almost 19 times. To investigate client-side interference, da7em compared and tested multiple AI agent development frameworks, confirming that the anomaly was consistent across different tools, thus determining that the root cause of the problem lay in the server-side caching and accounting system.
