Macquarie: Driven by Samsung and SK Hynix, the Kospi index is expected to rebound in the short term.
According to a report by Macquarie analysts, the South Korean benchmark index Kospi is expected to rebound in the short term, driven by chipmakers Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. Analysts pointed out that the extreme volatility in July was primarily driven by these two stocks, which together accounted for 71% of the market's total market capitalization loss. However, with the stabilization of foreign and institutional capital outflows, the reallocation of concentrated holdings, and margin trading balances remaining at reasonable levels, market volatility is easing, and the risk of sudden, sharp fluctuations is limited. Macquarie expects earnings revisions to push the Kospi higher, with Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix overcoming concerns about peak demand and competition. They added that the rapid earnings growth of these two companies should translate into substantial returns for shareholders. Macquarie maintains its target of 8000 points for the Kospi. (Jinshi)
Crude oil has risen to its highest level since July 31.
According to BlockBeats, on August 11, Bitget data showed that Brent crude oil and WTI crude oil futures both rose by more than 2%, reaching their highest levels since July 31.
Binance will delist several spot trading pairs, including APT/BTC, on August 14.
According to an official announcement, Binance will remove and cease trading in the following spot trading pairs at 03:00 (UTC) on August 14, 2026: APT/BTC, AR/BTC, A/USDC, BTTC/TRY, CYBER/USDC, LPT/BTC, and WAL/FDUSD. Simultaneously, Binance will also terminate its spot trading bot service for these pairs. Users can still trade the relevant tokens on other available trading pairs.
