A Bitcoin address that had been dormant for 12 and a half years transferred 26.96 BTC, with a holding value of approximately $1.75 million and a potential profit of $1.73 million.
Odaily Planet Daily reports that a Bitcoin address dormant for approximately 12.5 years transferred 26.96 BTC in block 961845 at 07:03 UTC on August 10th. The address begins with "14vMEC". This address first received Bitcoin on January 31, 2014, and had not transferred any since. Cryptocurrency research firm Galaxy Research stated that the address's average cost per unit was approximately $803, with a potential profit of approximately $1.73 million, representing a return of approximately 7975%. This transfer only indicates that the assets have been moved to a new address and cannot confirm that they have entered the market. This is the second instance this month of an old coin resurfacing. Hashi testnet opens a real-time deposit and withdrawal viewing panel.
According to Odaily Planet Daily, Sui posted on the X platform that the Hashi testnet panel now displays real-time deposit and withdrawal records, and thanked Sui and the Bitcoin community for testing Hashi and pushing for its improvement.
In its three weeks of operation, the Hashi testnet processed over 1.1 million deposits and 165,000 withdrawals.
According to Sui's monitoring, the Hashi testnet has processed over 1.1 million deposits and 165,000 withdrawals in the three weeks since its launch. In the past two weeks, over 50% of Bitcoin Signet transactions have come from the Hashi testnet.
More than 40 organizations are calling on AI labs to grant access to cutting-edge models to Bitcoin security defenders.
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Bitcoin News, in an article published on the X platform, stated that the Bitcoin Policy Institute and a consortium of over 40 organizations are calling on leading AI labs to grant qualified open-source security defenders trusted access to their state-of-the-art AI models. The open letter states that Bitcoin and digital asset developers are facing increasingly sophisticated AI-driven cyber threats, while legitimate security research is often limited by the security mechanisms of cutting-edge models. Signatories including Block, Coinbase, Strategy, MARA, Galaxy, BitGo, Brink, OpenSats, Chaincode Labs, Spiral, Trezor, and Unchained are demanding early access to cutting-edge cybersecurity models, sufficient computing power, a secure research environment, and direct communication channels with AI lab security teams. The open letter states, "Defenders need cutting-edge technology; please give them a fair first-mover advantage."
