Odaily Planet Daily reports that the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has filed a civil enforcement lawsuit against Wolf Capital Crypto Trading LLC and its founder, Travis Ford, accusing them of operating a fraudulent investment scheme that raised over $10 million from retail investors. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma, alleges that the company employed a Ponzi scheme structure, promising daily returns without any basis in actual trading activity. It is reported that between October 2022 and December 2024, Wolf Capital attracted over 3,000 investors by advertising stable daily returns of up to 3.5%. The CFTC argues that these claims are mathematically untenable and lack any verifiable commodity-related cryptocurrency trading strategy. According to Huoxun Finance on December 22, CoinAnk data shows that in the past 24 hours, the total liquidation amount for cryptocurrency futures contracts across the entire network reached $183 million, including $58.8637 million in long positions and $124 million in short positions. The total liquidation amount for BTC was $60.6799 million, and the total liquidation amount for ETH was $45.3797 million.

Huoxun Finance reported on December 22 that the Bank of Lithuania has stipulated that the transition period for licensing crypto asset service providers will end on December 31, 2025. After the transition period, VASPs that have not obtained a CASP license under MiCA must cease their services, including ceasing to accept new clients, ceasing to hold client assets, and properly returning client funds and crypto assets. As of July 18, 2025, approximately 30 companies had applied to the Bank of Lithuania for crypto asset service provider licenses, with 10 applications currently under evaluation. Huoxun Finance News, December 22 – Ethereum treasury company ETHZilla announced on its X platform that it sold 24,291 ETH as part of the redemption of outstanding senior collateralized convertible bonds, raising approximately $74.5 million. ETHZilla plans to use all or most of the proceeds from this redemption. ETHZilla believes its value will be primarily driven by revenue and cash flow growth from its RWA tokenization business, and therefore will discontinue providing the mNAV dashboard on its website, but will continue to update its balance sheet regularly. Furthermore, ETHZilla will continue to report any material changes to its ETH treasury holdings and/or number of shares in filings with the U.S. SEC and social media posts.
