JPMorgan Chase raises its price target for Amazon to $365.
According to BlockBeats, on July 31, JPMorgan Chase raised its price target for Amazon from $330 to $365, maintaining its bullish rating.
AI stock market guru's Waterloo: After his fund plummeted 67% in a single month, he was forced to sell at a loss to Citadel.
According to BlockBeats, on July 31, the Wall Street Journal, citing sources familiar with the matter, reported that Situational Awareness, a hedge fund founded by former OpenAI researcher Leopold Aschenbrenner, suffered significant losses in July amid a sharp decline in AI stocks, with its net asset value falling by approximately 67% during the month.
The report states that the fund had previously heavily invested in AI-related stocks. As these holdings experienced a significant pullback, the fund was forced to sell most of its stock positions to raise cash to meet margin calls from lenders. A considerable portion of these holdings were taken over by Ken Griffin's Citadel.
In a letter to investors, Aschenbrenner stated, "We disappointed you this month." He attributed some of the losses to increased short selling and described the fund as experiencing pressure akin to a "bank run." Despite this, Situational Awareness had previously seen substantial gains, reaching a year-to-date return of 270% by the end of May; even after the July crash, it is still up approximately 80% year-to-date.
The report also stated that Situational Awareness, established approximately two years ago, once managed assets exceeding $20 billion. Aschenbrenner had no prior professional investment experience, but his research and influence in the AI field have led some investors to view him as a trendsetter in AI investment. The fund still holds investments in private AI companies, including Anthropic.
US stocks rebounded overall, boosted by the pause in interest rate hikes and positive earnings reports. Gate.com and SK Hynix futures contracts ranked first and second in terms of open interest on CEX.
According to Odaily Planet Daily, boosted by expectations of a pause in interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve and strong earnings reports from tech giants like Microsoft, the US stock market has seen a significant overall rebound, with the semiconductor memory sector leading the gains. Data from the Gate platform shows that SanDisk (SNDK) is currently trading at $1,280.40, up 26.14%; SK Hynix (SKHY) is currently trading at $148.96, up 17.47%. With the dramatic price fluctuations and strong upward movement of these two assets, trading activity and open interest in derivatives on the Gate platform have continued to increase. According to Coinglass data, Gate SNDK contract open interest reached $151 million, and Gate SKHYNIX contract open interest reached $121 million, both ranking second among centralized exchanges. Gate Stocks has established a 24/7 trading service system covering three core markets: US stocks, Hong Kong stocks, and Korean stocks. It supports over 10,000 US stocks and ETFs, over 1,500 Hong Kong stocks, and over 1,000 Korean stocks, totaling over 12,500 stocks and ETFs globally. It supports fractional share trading with a minimum investment of 0.01 shares and offers stock dividend rights. The platform also supports cross-brokerage transfers for US and Hong Kong stocks and supports corporate actions such as stock splits and consolidations, further optimizing the stock investment service experience.
Ethereum spot ETFs saw a total net inflow of $13.2871 million yesterday, with BlackRock's ETHA ETF leading the way with a net inflow of $16.2417 million.
According to data from SoSoValue, Ethereum spot ETFs saw a total net inflow of $13.2871 million yesterday (July 30th, Eastern Time). The BlackRock ETF (ETHA) saw the largest single-day net inflow of $16.2417 million, bringing its historical total net inflow to $11.446 billion. The Bitwise ETF (ETHW) followed with a net inflow of $1.3746 million, bringing its historical total net inflow to $384 million. Conversely, the Fidelity ETF (FETH) saw the largest single-day net outflow of $2.873 million, bringing its historical total net inflow to $2.103 billion. As of press time, the Ethereum spot ETF has a total net asset value of $10.523 billion, an ETF net asset ratio (market capitalization as a percentage of Ethereum's total market capitalization) of 4.54%, and a historical cumulative net inflow of $11.201 billion.
Bitcoin spot ETFs saw a total net inflow of $233 million yesterday, with BlackRock's IBIT leading the way with a net inflow of $183 million.
