According to BlockBeats, on September 16th, well-known KOL Brady Dale published an article stating that the primary person responsible for the obstruction of the CLARITY Act is US President Trump, due to his introduction of the Trump token. Brady Dale believes the second person responsible is Senator Tim Scott, whose insistence on a separate Senate bill further depleted the momentum already gained after the GENIUS Act; the third person responsible is Senator Cynthia Lummis.
Brady Dale stated that he believed the bill was "doomed" as early as last fall, and Lummis's announcement of his retirement further dimmed his outlook. Dale also indicated that SEC Chairman Paul Atkins could still alleviate the situation to some extent, and that the outcome that day was not surprising, believing Fairshake had previously shifted its focus to October.
According to BlockBeats, Farside monitoring showed that US Bitcoin spot ETFs experienced a total net outflow of $450.4 million yesterday. Specifically, FBTC saw a net outflow of $214.8 million, IBIT a net outflow of $161.7 million, GBTC a net outflow of $44.1 million, ARKB a net outflow of $17.4 million, and BITB a net outflow of $12.4 million.
Ethereum spot ETFs saw a total net outflow of $142.3 million. Specifically, ETHA saw a net outflow of $98 million, ETHW a net outflow of $34.4 million, ETHE a net outflow of $17.5 million, and FETH a net outflow of $7.2 million; while ETHB saw a net inflow of $12.4 million and TETH a net inflow of $2.4 million.
According to BlockBeats, on September 16th, the Meme coin market has recently seen explosive growth, with increasingly active on-chain trading. However, along with this market upturn, highly sophisticated phishing links have frequently appeared on the Meme coin showcase page. This "novel" attack method has caused several seasoned traders to fall victim.
Crypto KOLs @insidecalls and @cladzsol recently revealed that while scanning the blockchain , they clicked on the Meme coin homepage and were prompted by a hacker-spoofed "Cloudflare verification" message. After following the instructions to "complete the verification," their on-chain funds were stolen. @cladzsol reportedly lost approximately $600,000 in assets.
BlockBeats' investigation revealed that several popular Meme coin display pages recently redirect users to a "Cloudflare Verification" page, which is actually a phishing link. If users follow the prompts, their computer systems will download and execute malicious scripts, resulting in asset loss.
The rampant nature of this phenomenon may be related to the lagging review processes of mainstream trading aggregation platforms such as DexScreener. Currently, these platforms display the token by directly referencing the "official website" or social media links listed in the token's metadata. These fields can be updated by the token creator or those who subsequently claim "community takeover." Hackers are exploiting this review vulnerability to transform the Meme coin's display page into a new "fishing ground" for phishing attacks.
BlockBeats reminds users that they may accidentally click on unfamiliar links during the blockchain scanning process. If a "Cloudflare verification" or other highly suspicious page appears, they should close it immediately and avoid interacting with it to protect their assets.
