Serenity is bullish on ChipMOS Technologies: DDR3 price increases far exceeded sellers' expectations, ASP revised upwards to double month-on-month, and operating leverage fully opened.
According to BlockBeats, on August 30th, Serenity published an analysis of a sell-side report on ESMT (3006): In March, Hua Nan Securities predicted that ESMT's Q2 DDR3 4Gb contract price would increase by approximately 50% quarter-on-quarter, while Fubon Securities predicted a 40% quarter-on-quarter increase in DRAM prices. However, by August, Hua Nan Securities had revised its Q2 overall ASP upwards to a 105% to 113% quarter-on-quarter increase, explicitly stating that the DDR3 price increase was "significantly better than expected." Serenity believes that the price increase of niche memory is no longer simply a revenue story, but a significant amplifier of profits, with operating leverage being pushed to its limit. Powerchip Semiconductor's wafer costs may double in the second half of the year, while customers' willingness to accept cost pass-through is far greater than expected.
Jinghao Technology's net profit in July was approximately US$109 million, far exceeding earlier model assumptions. Based on this, a rough annualized valuation could be as low as approximately 1.9 times PE. DDR3 is mainly used in IP cameras, hard drives, and other products. Storage chips account for a very small percentage of the customer's overall BOM (Bill of Materials). Even if the chip costs a few dollars more, it's far less than the cost of redesigning and recertifying, thus demand is relatively inelastic. The consensus is that competitors are shifting production capacity to high-value products such as HBM/DDR5, leading to a structural tightening of DDR3/DDR2 supply.
The SWIFT blockchain ledger completes its first real-time transaction, processing approximately $5 trillion daily.
According to Odaily Planet Daily, the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) currently routes approximately $5 trillion in cross-border transactions daily, with its network covering about 11,500 institutions in approximately 200 countries and regions. However, the cost per transaction remains around 1% to 4%, and settlement typically takes 1 to 5 business days. Facing competition from stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and blockchain payments in terms of speed and cost, SWIFT launched its blockchain ledger last month. HSBC and Standard Chartered subsequently completed their first real-time transaction through the system, reducing settlement time to a few seconds. BNY predicts that the stablecoin and tokenized cash market will reach $3.7 trillion by 2030; Citi predicts that the tokenized securities market will grow to $5.5 trillion during the same period.
Analysts: Historical signals may indicate an upcoming independent upward trend in Bitcoin.

According to GMGN data, trader Bonkguy (unipcs) has increased his MarsCoin holdings, currently holding approximately 24.9 million MarsCoins, with a total value of approximately $1.31 million. His total investment was approximately $984,800, with an average cost of $0.0389 and a current profit of approximately $344,600. Bonkguy stated that he chose to further increase his MarsCoin holdings after seeing Niu Lai listed on Binance Futures, adding that he remains optimistic about his previous trading strategy and believes that trading requires patience while waiting for the logic to materialize.
