According to HyperliquidNews, open interest in HIP-3 has surpassed $4 billion again, reaching $4.01 billion. This represents a 17.6% increase from $3.41 billion one month ago, a 65.7% increase from $2.42 billion three months ago, a 487.6% increase from $682.45 million six months ago, and a 7924.8% increase from $49.97 million nine months ago.

According to Odaily Planet Daily, a few Bitcoin forks supporting BIP-110 split at block height 961,632, and stalled after mining only two blocks in about eight hours, now lagging behind the Bitcoin mainnet by more than 80 blocks. This fork inherits Bitcoin's current difficulty, but only about 2.53% of recent block signals support BIP-110, far below the 55% activation threshold required to avoid a fork. Bitcoin adjusts its difficulty every 2016 blocks, and based on the current hashrate, this chain is expected to take approximately 350 days to complete its next adjustment. BIP-110 proposes to temporarily prohibit writing non-financial data such as images and text into Bitcoin transactions. Michael Saylor stated that approximately 99.85% of Bitcoin's hashrate remains on the mainnet; due to the two chains being affected by the same transactions, transactions on a few chains may be replayed to the Bitcoin mainnet.

Odaily Planet Daily reports that Bitcoin News, in an article published on the X platform, stated that Bitcoin developer Luke Dashjr suggested September 1st as a potential target date for the BIP-110 proof-of-work change hard fork, claiming that the change should have occurred when BIP-110 "should have been activated." BIP-110 author Dathon Ohm stated that the community is currently developing proposals to modify the Bitcoin proof-of-work algorithm and plans to "get miners out," while also accusing large mining pools of collectively opposing the BIP-110 initiative. Regarding the question of how the network will remain secure after existing miners leave, Dathon Ohm responded, "We will hire new miners."

According to Bitcoin News, a Bitcoin transaction is currently contributing 9.99 million satoshis, worth $6,514, to the next candidate BIP-110 block in transaction fees. This transaction only sent 1,000 satoshis, worth $0.65, but paid 9.999 million satoshis in fees, a fee rate of 90,081 satoshis/vB. This transaction accounts for approximately 35% of the total available transaction fees for the current block, which is 0.29 BTC, worth $18,573. Furthermore, this transaction has RBF enabled and may be replaced before confirmation.

According to Odaily Planet Daily, Grayscale Research Director Zach Pandl stated that even if the CLARITY Act fails to pass, the operation of major blockchains, the demand for Bitcoin as a store of value, and the growth of stablecoin payments will not be immediately affected, as regulators will fill regulatory gaps through rulemaking.
