According to BlockBeats, on August 5th, well-known crypto KOL Ansem published an article stating that the crypto market is showing signs of bottoming out. Firstly, prices are beginning to show resilience to negative news; for example, even when Saylor sold millions of dollars worth of BTC in the $58,000 to $60,000 range, BTC continued to form higher lows.
Secondly, crypto-native mobile apps are beginning to see real user growth, with Pump.fun experiencing a 20% increase in weekly revenue and Fomo surpassing 100,000 users in a week. Institutional interest is also rebounding, including progress on Robinhood Chain and billionaire Paul Tudor Jones' public bullish stance on BTC. Furthermore, crypto-related content is gaining popularity again on social media.
Ansem suggests that if on-chain tokens continue to reach new highs after their initial surge, the number of holders of popular tokens continues to grow, mainstream media refocus their coverage, developers try out new on-chain mechanisms, and successful protocols provide incentives through airdrops, it could further confirm that a new bull market has begun.
According to BlockBeats, on August 5th, ElizaOS founder Shaw stated that the ai16z token is "completely dead," and the related foundation is gradually ceasing operations. There are currently no funds available for token buybacks, nor will there be any new funds or token supply to support the market; he himself no longer holds any related tokens and will not support the future launch of the Eliza token.
Shaw stated that Burwick had previously filed a lawsuit against the project, and the team, lacking funds, fought the legal battle but ultimately reached a settlement with some holders, surrendering the remaining vault and funds. He asserted that he never sold ai16z and did not profit from the project beyond receiving a salary comparable to that of other engineers.
The team stated that it will continue developing Eliza and its underlying operating system, and plans to restart without being affected by token, Launchpad, or community price pressures. It will retain ownership of the Eliza intellectual property and focus on localization, privacy protection, and cryptographically supported smart agent technology in the future.
Shaw also stated that he still approves of blockchain technology, but is pessimistic about the current industry's over-concentration on speculation, prediction markets, and the culture of Meme coins; in contrast, he believes the AI community is more focused on building products.
