SEC Commissioner: Crypto Regulatory Reform Will Continue Even If the Clarity Act Fails to Pass
According to Odaily Planet Daily, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Commissioner Hester Peirce stated that she remains optimistic about Congress passing the CLARITY Act, adding that there is still much that can be done even if the bill fails. Peirce pointed out that the SEC will continue its work regardless of the bill's passage; even if the CLARITY Act is not implemented, regulators still have considerable room to advance the development of a regulatory framework for digital assets. Peirce has previously called for clearer rules governing crypto assets, believing that a well-defined market structure will help the U.S. maintain its competitiveness in the digital asset sector and reduce long-term uncertainty for the industry.
US storage stocks rose across the board, with SanDisk up over 10%.
According to BlockBeats, on August 4th, based on BIT (bit.com) market data, the US storage sector generally rose, with Seagate Technology (STX) up 3.68%; Western Digital (WDC) up 4.19%; SanDisk (SNDK) up 10.6%; Micron Technology (MU) up 7.75%; and SK Hynix ADR up 5.51%.
The Nasdaq extended its gains to 2%, the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose 6.2%, and SanDisk surged over 10%.
According to MSX.COM data, US stocks continued their upward trend, with the Nasdaq extending its gains to 2%. As of now, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 1.65%, the S&P 500 is up 1.43%, and the Nasdaq Composite is up 2.02%. In related news, Iran is reportedly considering allowing European countries to clear mines in the Strait of Hormuz. Chip stocks led the gains, with the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index up 6.18%, ARM up over 14%, SanDisk up over 10%, Intel up over 9%, Micron Technology up nearly 8%, AMD up over 7%, and Qualcomm up over 6%.
Intel's gains widen to 10%.
According to BlockBeats, on August 4th, data from BIT (bit.com) showed that Intel (INTC.O) shares rose by 10%.
