An anonymous whale increased its short position in BTC after the PPI was released, becoming the second-largest BTC short seller on Hyperliquid.
According to BlockBeats, on September 10th, TradingBeats monitoring showed that the anonymous whale address 0xe2...3c8c increased its short position in BTC after the release of the latest US PPI data. Between 20:39 and 20:54, this address added approximately 116.8 BTC in batches, estimated to be worth about $9 million based on the transaction price. The size of its BTC short position increased from approximately 623.5 BTC to approximately 740.3 BTC, making it the second largest BTC short holder on Hyperliquid.
As of press time, the address holds a 20x short position of approximately 740.28 BTC, with a position value of approximately $56.92 million. The average opening price was approximately $78,475, and the current unrealized profit is approximately $1.1765 million.
In addition, this address is also the second largest short seller of PONS on Hyperliquid, holding approximately 8.6701 million PONS, a 3x short position with a position value of approximately $4.95 million, an average opening price of approximately $0.8101, and a current unrealized profit of approximately $2.071 million.

Research teams including the Ethereum Foundation have used AI to optimize algorithms, reducing the resource threshold for quantum computing of BTC and ETH by 50%.
Researchers from the Ethereum Foundation, Theta Labs, and StarkWare, among others, have jointly published a paper demonstrating how AI programming agents can deeply optimize the core computations of the Scholl algorithm. This reduces the computational resources required for potential quantum attacks on Bitcoin and Ethereum (secp256k1 cryptosystem) by more than 50% compared to Google's benchmark from March of this year. The number of logical qubits required for a circuit has been reduced to 1151, with subsequent versions further reducing it to 813. While current quantum hardware cannot directly compromise public blockchains, the research indicates that pure algorithmic optimization is significantly shortening the time window for quantum threats.
