According to Odaily Planet Daily, Pump.fun, the once-dominant Memecoin issuance platform under Solana, continues to experience a decline in activity, with token graduation rates, platform revenue, and Solana network fees all showing significant drops in recent months. Data shows that Pump.fun's seven-day average token graduation rate fell to 0.26% last week, a drop of 80% over the past three months. Meanwhile, the platform's average daily revenue since June is approximately $800,000, far below the approximately $4.8 million average daily revenue six months ago. Users can directly exchange assets such as USDC, USDT, ETH, and XRP for RLUSD without manual cross-chain operations, token wrapping, or multiple transactions. Squid's routing layer sits above these underlying transfer mechanisms, enabling users to use RLUSD without being restricted by a specific issuing chain. Squid states that its intent-based routing system allows market makers to fulfill orders using liquidity on the target chain, with settlements within seconds, and compatibility with various cross-chain messaging and issuance standards. In addition to serving end users, developers can also access RLUSD through the Squid tool for cross-chain payments, treasury management, user deposits, and DeFi applications.

According to Richard Green, Head of Institutional and Ecosystem Development at Rootstock Labs, as overall DeFi liquidity continues to decline, Bitcoin DeFi projects are shifting their focus to a smaller, more financially well-funded user base. Speaking at the BTC Prague conference, Green stated that previously easily accessible crypto-native traders and hedge funds have largely withdrawn due to capital outflows from the DeFi market. Data shows that the total value locked in DeFi protocols has decreased from approximately $180 billion last October to approximately $70 billion currently. Against this backdrop, Rootstock is targeting Bitcoin miners and digital asset treasury companies, offering them lending and yield products.
