TOKEN2049 will launch a New York edition on June 16-17, 2027, its first event in the US, the organiser announced at TOKEN2049 Singapore on Wednesday. It expects 15,000 attendees, and tickets are on sale now at $599.
New York becomes TOKEN2049's third flagship alongside Singapore and Dubai, and the company said it will be a permanent fixture on its annual calendar. As in its other host cities, the two-day conference will be accompanied by a TOKEN2049 Week of side events across New York.
"Bringing TOKEN2049 to the US has been a long time coming," said co-founder Alex Fiskum. "Our attendees and partners have been asking us to make it happen, and we've been waiting for the right moment and the right setting. Everything has now come together in New York."
The announcement was timed to precede a main stage session with Eric Trump and Zach Witkoff, co-founders of World Liberty Financial, the crypto venture tied to the Trump family. Putting the US launch next to that session underlines where TOKEN2049 sees the industry's centre of gravity moving since Washington adopted a more accommodating posture toward crypto under the Trump administration.
The 15,000 target is a conservative opening for a brand that lists more than 25,000 attendees, 7,000 companies and over 1,000 side events for its Singapore edition. It also puts TOKEN2049 into a crowded US calendar, where established conferences already compete for the same sponsors and speakers. New York's advantage in that field is its proximity to the banks, asset managers and exchanges that have moved into digital assets.
The June slot gives TOKEN2049 three flagships spread across the year, with Dubai in April, New York in June and Singapore in October. The test for the 2027 debut is whether New York can build the kind of side-event economy that has made Singapore's week a fixture for Asian funds and exchanges.
