Polygon Labs added TRON support to its Open Money Stack on October 7, connecting the network’s more than $94 billion in circulating USDT to licensed U.S. banking rails through a single integration, the company announced .

The expansion lets fintechs, remittance providers and payment platforms move dollars into USDT (TRC-20) and cash out to bank accounts without separately assembling licensing, sponsor banks, wallet providers and cross-chain routing. A customer can fund a payment by bank transfer, debit card or cash at a retail counter, receive USDT in a TRON wallet, and later settle back through a bank account.

What the TRON Integration Covers

The update extends three parts of Open Money Stack to TRON. Regulated dollar access runs through Polygon Ramps, which uses money-transmitter licenses and compliance infrastructure covering 48 U.S. states. Businesses can also create and manage TRON wallets through programmable accounts, and route USDT between TRON and supported EVM networks such as Polygon Chain in a single transaction flow.

Why TRON’s Stablecoin Liquidity Matters

TRON has long been the leading blockchain for USDT , supporting more than $94 billion in circulating supply and over $30 trillion in total transfer volume, according to the announcement. TRON DAO said the network hosts the largest circulating supply of USD Tether, alongside more than 407 million user accounts and over $28 billion in total value locked as of October 2026. Polygon said it had processed more than $3 trillion in payments volume as of September 21.

“Adding TRON brings one of the deepest pools of USDT liquidity into that same integration, so businesses can move those dollars onto U.S. banking rails or across chains with the licensing and orchestration already handled underneath,” Marc Boiron, CEO of Polygon Labs, said in the release. Justin Sun, founder of TRON, said the move makes it “easier for businesses to build payment products that bridge onchain liquidity with traditional financial rails.”

What Happens Next

The launch is the first phase of TRON support across Open Money Stack , with additional assets, markets and payment capabilities expected over time. The integration does not remove the licensing or regulatory obligations of payment firms; it combines pieces of a payment flow that were often handled through separate providers. Polygon Labs began assembling the stack through its pending acquisition of Coinme and acquisition of Sequence, which brought licensed U.S. fiat access and enterprise wallet infrastructure together.
