Infosys, the $40 billion-plus IT services giant, has entered a strategic partnership with Chainlink to standardize the oracle network’s platform across its institutional client base, the companies announced on September 22. Infosys says its financial-services technology supports critical banking and payments infrastructure for more than 1.7 billion customer accounts worldwide, giving Chainlink a distribution channel that reaches deep into traditional finance. The agreement centers on giving banks and capital-markets firms a single, repeatable path to onchain markets rather than a one-off product deployment.

Six products, one standardized stack

The partnership covers the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) for moving data and tokenized assets between blockchains, the Chainlink Runtime Environment for coordinating onchain and offchain workflows, and the Automated Compliance Engine for policy controls. It also spans Proof of Reserve for verifying the assets backing stablecoins and tokenized products, plus Data Streams and Data Feeds for low-latency and reference market data. Infosys will pair its consulting, engineering and systems-integration work with that stack to build joint solutions for tokenized assets, payments and settlement, and interoperable financial-market infrastructure.

Institutional reach at scale

Chainlink frames the deal as a way to accelerate institutional onchain finance, and the scale of Infosys’s client base is the point, with its Finacle banking platform underpinning much of that reach. The network already counts Swift, Euroclear, Mastercard, Fidelity International and UBS among its users, and it says its infrastructure has enabled tens of trillions of dollars in transaction value. The arrangement echoes earlier institutional steps, including the Wyoming Stable Token Commission’s adoption of Chainlink Proof of Reserve for its frontier stable token.

A standardization play, not a launch

The announcement names no specific bank, payment provider or production deployment, and no commercial terms or timeline were disclosed. That makes the agreement a technology channel rather than a confirmed rollout: Infosys builds one reusable integration pattern and routes its clients through it, cutting the per-institution work that has kept many banks away from onchain markets. Chainlink has pushed the same infrastructure-first approach with sovereign and institutional partners, including the Wyoming Stable Token Commission’s migration of its Frontier token to Chainlink CCIP . Adoption from the Infosys channel is expected to take time to appear.
