KuMining, the cloud mining platform developed by KuCoin, has generated more than $25 million in sales volume during its first year of operation, as the company expands beyond Bitcoin into a broader range of Proof-of-Work assets.

The platform said it has attracted more than 200,000 users since launching and recorded cumulative Bitcoin hashrate sales of more than 5 EH/s across retail and institutional clients.

KuMining initially launched with Bitcoin mining and merged Dogecoin and Litecoin mining. Over the past year, it has expanded its offering to five Proof-of-Work assets, adding Zcash in July 2026 and Kaspa in August alongside BTC, DOGE and LTC.

The platform provides access to computing power from physical mining equipment without requiring customers to own or operate the hardware themselves. KuMining and its partners manage the underlying equipment and operational requirements, including electricity, cooling and maintenance.

Instead, customers purchase a specified amount of hashrate for a set period and receive output generated by the associated mining activity. For DOGE and LTC, KuMining uses merged mining, allowing the same computing power to contribute to both networks simultaneously.

The company also overhauled the service earlier this year. KuMining 2.0, introduced in March, divided the platform into Lite and Pro modes and added more flexible account management.

Lite Mode is designed around a user’s chosen asset, budget and service period, with the platform matching those selections to the corresponding hashrate. Pro Mode provides direct control over hashrate purchases and supports service periods of up to 360 days, depending on the asset.

The payment structure separates the cost of computing power from ongoing electricity expenses. Hashrate fees are paid upfront, while electricity costs are deducted daily in USDT from a dedicated Mining Account. The account also records mining output, balances, electricity charges and previous orders.

Assets generated through mining can subsequently be traded or used with eligible Earn services within the KuCoin ecosystem.

“Over the past year, we have focused on making mining more accessible through flexible hashrate services and clearer account management,” said Jolie Du, Chief Operating Officer of KuMining. “As we enter our second year, we will continue to strengthen our infrastructure and explore extending this service model to GPU and AI compute offerings.”

The reference to GPU and AI computing points to an area KuMining is considering as it moves into its second year, although the company did not provide details on potential products or a timeline for their introduction.

KuMining is also using its first anniversary to launch a promotional campaign with more than 100,000 USDT in rewards. The campaign, which began September 22, includes incentives tied to new users and cumulative purchases, as well as hashrate and electricity-fee coupons and a guaranteed-prize draw.

Eligible users can receive draw entries through purchases and referrals. Rewards include USDT and several mineable cryptocurrencies supported by the platform, including BTC, KAS, ZEC, DOGE and LTC, alongside fee coupons and consumer electronics. Participation requirements, campaign duration and reward distribution are governed by the campaign’s official terms.
