Enterprise blockchain analytics have long been limited by data that is incomplete or hard to verify. SQD, the blockchain data platform formerly known as Subsquid, is moving to fix that by feeding Google Cloud’s analytics tools, the company announced Aug. 25 .

What SQD contributes

Through its enterprise arm SQD 360, SQD now provides the indexing and data pipelines behind Google Cloud’s blockchain analytics, keeping data accurate, complete and fresh inside BigQuery, Google’s fully managed, serverless data platform with built-in machine learning. SQD 360 validates every block with six cryptographic checks, including multi-source verification and transaction and state roots, before the data is served, so analysts query provably correct data rather than a best-effort copy.

The arrangement is designed to put the validated data where analysts, developers and enterprises already work, rather than asking them to run their own indexers or trust third-party copies of the chain. SQD positions itself as an enterprise-ready backbone for blockchain data, and the Google Cloud tie-in puts its validated datasets in front of analysts, developers and enterprises that already work inside the cloud provider’s ecosystem.

Why verification matters

“Blockchain data should be complete, accurate, and provable and, most importantly, openly accessible,” said Wanja Oberhof, SQD’s chief executive. “Bringing that standard to a platform like Google Cloud Web3 Blockchain Analytics is a meaningful step toward making blockchain analytics usable at enterprise scale.”

Oberhof described the partnership as “a strong signal that enterprise-grade blockchain data has arrived,” framing it as a foundation the wider ecosystem can build on. For Google Cloud, the tie-in adds a blockchain data source that has passed cryptographic validation rather than raw node output. The partnership also extends SQD’s reach into a cloud platform used by enterprises worldwide.

A foundation, not an endpoint

SQD said more is planned, including expanded capabilities, additional chains and agentic enhancements on its roadmap. The move reflects the growing demand for on-chain analytics from enterprises, regulators and investigators who now treat verified blockchain data as a core input rather than a niche dataset. The partnership is delivered through Subsquid’s enterprise arm and positions SQD as the infrastructure that keeps Google Cloud’s blockchain datasets accurate and ready to query.
