El Salvador's holdings have increased to 7,474 coins, according to the IMF. The IMF states that any new Bitcoin additions to El Salvador since June 2025 have come from private donations.

According to a report by Bitcoin News on the X platform, Odaily Planet Daily stated that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said El Salvador's Bitcoin accumulation since June 2025 has not used public funds and reflects private donations. El Salvador disclosed in November 2025 that it purchased 1,090 Bitcoins, worth approximately $100 million, increasing its Bitcoin holdings to 7,474. The IMF also stated that El Salvador is improving the transparency of Bitcoin holdings across wallets and strengthening the governance and risk management of public sector crypto asset holdings.
