According to BlockBeats, on September 6th, 12 Bitcoin addresses that had been dormant for over 16 years transferred a total of 600 BTC, worth approximately $48 million, out of the network on September 5th. These Bitcoins all came from mining rewards in March 2010, when Satoshi Nakamoto was still active on the Bitcoin network.

Whale Alert stated that the 600 bitcoins came from mining rewards for 12 bitcoin blocks, and no connection was found between these addresses and Satoshi Nakamoto. Previously, Lookonchain had identified seven miner wallets that transferred out 350 bitcoins after approximately 16.5 years of inactivity.

Whale Alert also pointed out that one of the block rewards was transferred several blocks earlier than most of the other transfers, a pattern consistent with the characteristic of testing transactions first and then executing the rest of the transfers.
