Odaily Planet Daily reports that Zurich-based crypto bank Sygnum Bank has integrated its regulated cryptocurrency services into Bancastato's online banking system. Customers in the Swiss canton of Ticino can now buy, hold, and sell BTC, ETH, LTC, and SOL on Bancastato's website and mobile platform without needing a separate exchange account. Bancastato becomes the first bank to offer cryptocurrency trading through Sygnum's API within the Avaloq software-as-a-service banking environment. Customers can submit market orders by cryptocurrency quantity or USD value; Sygnum handles trade execution, while Bancastato retains customer relationships, branding, and front-end experience. Sygnum states that its B2B platform already provides trading, custody, compliance, and settlement infrastructure to over 25 banks and international financial institutions, including Zuger Kantonalbank, Luzerner Kantonalbank, Postfinance, and VZ Vermögenszentrum. Sygnum claims these partnerships have already provided regulated digital asset services to over one-third of the Swiss population through existing banking relationships.
Sygnum is integrated with Bancastato online banking, enabling Swiss customers to trade four assets including BTC and ETH.
