: Lots of talk about the new Ethereum roadmap prioritizing the L1 and what that means for rollups. Here are my thoughts as someone who is all-in on growing Arbitrum and the L2 landscape and also cares about Ethereum: - Above all else I care about Ethereum leadership prioritizing winning. The more focused Ethereum is, the easier it is for me to do my job. - I want Ethereum to operate with a business sense. The biggest mistake Ethereum made in the last few years imo was giving L2s a 90%+ profit margin business. Ethereum already has a difficult job as there is billions of venture capital invested trying to outperform it. WIthout earning revenue it becomes even harder for Ethereum to compete. - If the L1 needs to scale to accomplish the two points above I am fine with it. I expect there to be an abundance of blockspace, and Arbitrum is well-positioned to capture demand for opinionated blockspace with Arbitrum One as its core hub. - I

I expect there to be an abundance of blockspace, and Arbitrum is well-positioned to capture demand for opinionated blockspace with Arbitrum One as its core hub. - I think Ethereum should prioritize attracting the issuance of assets. This is where it clearly has PMF above all else from a business perspective. - The Arbitrum DAO holds tens of millions of dollars worth of $ETH today. It collects most of its revenue in $ETH. Arbitrum wants Ethereum to do well. - Even if you scale the L1, continue to work with the L2s. Many L2 teams contribute meaningfully to the success of Ethereum both on a technical and business development level. For example, @OffchainLabs is also the primary contributors to @prylabs one of the core components that makes Ethereum work. - Embrace diversity of design. Ethereum is not going to remain decentralized and clear beat Solana and others as a monolithic chain. The area where Ethereum is lightyears ahead of anyone is on embracing diversity of execution environments and opinionated blockspace. Embrace Rust on @arbitrum, Cairo on @Starknet and all of the other experimentation happening. Ethereum's best years are coming up, but it will require passion, dedication, fierce competitive spirit while also remaining true to its core value propositions. I am here for it.
