PANews 4月2日消息，据金十引援英国金融时报报道，由于伊朗对霍尔木兹海峡可能实施的长期控制构成了威胁，海湾国家正重新审视耗资巨大的管道计划，以绕过这一航运咽喉，确保油气出口。政府官员与行业高管指出，尽管管道项目成本高昂、政治复杂且耗时数年，但这可能是减少海湾国家对该海峡依赖的唯一途径。当前的冲突进一步凸显了沙特阿拉伯全长1200公里的“东西向管道”的战略价值。该管道建于20世纪80年代，初衷是应对两伊“油轮战争”导致海峡关闭的担忧。如今，它已成为关键的生命线，每日将700万桶原油输送至红海港口延布，完全绕开了霍尔木兹海峡。沙特目前正在考虑如何通过管道出口更多原油，具体方案包括扩建“东西向管道”容量或开辟新路线。
