PANews 8月24日消息，在4月下旬公布的一份财务报表中，巴哈马央行在其资产负债表上加入了新推出的数字货币Sand Dollar。 Sand Dollar旨在推动巴哈马金融体系现代化和巴哈马元数字化，预计将于今年第四季度启用。 巴哈马央行其年报的第47页指出，已将价值4.8万美元的“Sand Dollar”投入流通。
该文件随后指出，巴哈马央行在艾克苏玛对Sand Dollar进行了测试，并向不同零售商发行了价值4.8万美元的Sand Dollar。
