Alpha Ladder Finance, a Singapore-based wealth manager operating through its Alpha Ladder WealthX platform, said on Sept. 11 that it has launched access to Payward’s xStocks tokenized equities for institutional and accredited investors in selected Asian markets. The move makes Alpha Ladder one of the first licensed wealth management firms in the region to offer tokenized global equities, according to a release the company published .

From licensed wealth platform to tokenized equities

The rollout follows a memorandum of understanding between Alpha Ladder, MetaComp and Payward to advance tokenized capital markets across Asia-Pacific. Under the collaboration, Alpha Ladder will act as a distribution partner for xStocks in selected regional markets, subject to eligibility, onboarding and compliance requirements. The launch extends Alpha Ladder’s WealthX offering beyond traditional investment products into one of the fastest-growing areas of digital capital markets, giving eligible investors access to tokenized global equities through an established wealth management relationship. The three companies said they will continue to explore further tokenization opportunities, including additional products, counterparties and use cases.

How xStocks turns listed equities into 1:1-backed tokens

xStocks, developed by Payward, the parent company of Kraken, brings publicly listed equities onto blockchain infrastructure through fully collateralized, 1:1-backed tokens, combining exposure to global equities with round-the-clock availability and digital-native settlement. According to Dune analytics data cited in the release, xStocks lists more than 700 assets and has processed over $40 billion in combined transaction volume, with more than 200,000 unique holders.

Tokenization gains momentum among institutions

The launch arrives as tokenized securities gain traction among institutions. On-chain real-world asset value reached roughly $19.3 billion at the end of March 2026, up from about $5.4 billion in January 2025, according to CoinGecko figures cited in the release. A 2026 EY and Coinbase survey found that 63% of institutional investors globally said their firms were very interested in tokenized assets, up from 57% a year earlier, while tokenized equity products have already expanded through partnerships such as Payward’s earlier tie-up with GTN . McKinsey separately estimates total tokenized market capitalization could reach about $2 trillion by 2030, excluding cryptocurrencies. As tokenization moves further into mainstream capital markets, the focus is shifting from whether financial assets can be brought on-chain to how they can be accessed through channels that meet institutional expectations around governance, onboarding and compliance.
