According to Odaily Planet Daily, in April of this year, Bitcoin developer Paul Sztorc announced that the Bitcoin eCash hard fork would be activated at block height 963648 (approximately August 21st), launching a new chain called eCash. Simultaneously, eCash will airdrop eCash network tokens (ECX) 1:1 to all Bitcoin addresses holding Bitcoin before block height 963648, without requiring registration or pre-claiming, but users must transfer their BTC to an eCash self-custodied wallet. Currently, the Bitcoin community's support for this hard fork is low. It's worth noting that Bitcoin will also see the BIP-110 soft fork in August. BIP-110 will enter its mandatory period at block height 961632 (approximately August 7th), and the soft fork will be officially activated at block height 963648 (approximately September 1st).
Bitcoin will undergo an eCash hard fork on August 21.
