This warning was triggered by information disclosed by on-chain investigator ZachXBT, who pointed out that a North Korean developer had worked for several years on Solana's DeFi infrastructure project, Elemental. US authorities have previously warned that North Korean technicians use false identities to infiltrate crypto companies; over the weekend, Drift Protocol stated that its $280 million attack was likely carried out by the same group of North Korean hackers involved in the October 2024 Radiant Capital attack. Stabble responded that the North Korean employee in question joined the company a year ago, and the new team took over four weeks ago; emphasizing that no attacks have occurred yet and this warning is merely a precautionary measure; and stating that a new audit will be conducted to ensure the safety of liquidity providers' funds.
