Fed Chairman Warsh stated that the working group's goal is to position the Fed in the best position to achieve its objectives. Each working group will operate independently, supported by Fed staff; the working groups will focus on improving methodologies and tools; and the commitment to price stability and maximum employment remains "unwavering." The five working groups are: Inflation Working Group, Balance Sheet Working Group, Employment Working Group, Data Working Group, and Communications Working Group. The working group leaders include several former global central bank governors, including King, Rajan, Fraga, and former Fed Governor Stein.
