Chainlink, Swift & GLEIF Launch vLEI Hackathon to Advance On-Chain Compliance
Chainlink, a prominent decentralized oracle ecosystem offering real-world data for blockchain-based smart contracts, has partnered with Swift and GLEIF. The partnership focuses on launching vLEI Hackathon, catalyzing the regulatory-compliant blockchain-related solutions by using Chainlink’s cutting-edge Automated Compliance Engine (ACE) and verifiable Legal Entity Identifier (vLEI) mechanism of GLEIF. The platform revealed the details of this development in a recent social media post shared on X.
Chainlink Partners with Swift and GLEIF, Launching vLEI Hackathon to Fortify Compliant Assets
As a part of the collaboration with Swift and GLEIF, Chainlink intends to promote compliant assets on-chain. Swift is an open standard for the provision of financial information for financial businesses. Additionally, GLEIF is a not-for-profit platform to manage the worldwide Legal Entity Identifier mechanism. The purpose of the partnership with these two entities is to conduct the vLEI Hackathon. The respective endeavor attempts to catalyze the efficient blockchain solutions that are regulatory-compliant.
In this respect, this development utilizes the newly introduced Automated Compliance Engine (ACE) of Chainlink and verifiable Legal Entity Identifier (vLEI) mechanism of GLEIF. At present, institutional momentum is slowed down by the regulatory hindrances dealing with identity verification, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations. Hence, with this partnership, Chainlink endeavors to solve the respective bottleneck. For that purpose, it embeds reliable legal institutional identities into blockchain mechanisms ecosystems through vLEIs.
The Chainlink ACE forum provides privacy-preserving and modular solution that links the present financial compliance mechanisms with the blockchain. In addition to this, it also enables policy enforcement in real time, while securing identity management, parallel to dynamic compliance observing on private and public blockchains. The key objective of this platform is to develop on-chain applications embedding compliance and identity. Apart from that, participants will be permitted to develop solutions that fulfill regulatory needs while allowing seamless interaction across diverse digital asset platforms.
Expediting Blockchain Innovation by Promoting Compliant Asset Transfers on-chain
According to Chainlink , the vLEI Hackathon takes into account the tokenized financial assets’ rising demand. Thus, with this initiative, vLEIs and Chainlink deliver the basis for compliant transfers of digital assets across the globe. Moreover, the hackathon also underscores a noteworthy move to unlock institutional capital. It boosts blockchain innovation.
