Chromia and TAC Bridge Ethereum to TON, Powering Telegram’s Web3 Future
Chromia has officially collaborated with TAC, the purpose-built Layer-1 network that aimed to resolve Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility with The Open Network (TON). This partnership will provide an infrastructure through which Telegram Mini Apps (TMAs) can perform their blockchain capabilities in a more enriched manner involving TAC bridging technology and even Chromia layers of data decentralization.
This merging will enable developers employing TAC to implement EVM Johnson-based wise contracts in Telegram’s ecosystem. Such contracts are completely within TON architecture and avoid the restrictions that EVM-based dApps are frequently subject to on Telegram. Chromia extends further by natively enabling such applications to store their application logic, user activity, and metadata on Chromia subchains, allowing them to decentralize and verify their app backends.
Enhanced Functionality for Telegram Mini Apps
Telegram Mini Apps have become an object of high potential as an interface to provide Web3 experiences to users. However, Telegram’s support of native TON wallets and tokens has already been a problem for Ethereum-based applications. TAC does away with this problem by acting as a translation layer, thereby allowing cross-compatibility between Ethereum-based protocols and the TON ecosystem.
Chromia collaborates with TAC to add decency to Mini Apps, including storage and execution of logic. The majority of TMAs are now working with centralized cloud solutions to perform essential operations, and that reduces transparency and trust. Chromia enables developers to transfer such elements to a decentralized context, favouring a secure and transparent experience to the user.
Real-World Use Case: XOOB Launches with TAC and Chromia
XOOB is the first Telegram Mini App that needs the ChromiaTAC stack. The app has a gamified PvP and play-to-earn service. Interaction is done through $USDT deposits on the TON network, which are passed through TAC to DeFi protocols like Morpho and Euler. These deposits create yield associated with the system that players and developers share.
Chromia subchains hold all the gameplay data and financial flows and they all have the full insight about the transactions and user interactions. This protocol illustrates that decentralized systems can fit with ease on familiar platforms such as Telegram. The design of XOOB is a perfect example of how this collaboration can enable scalable, user-friendly and trustless Web3 applications
