Top 7 EVM-Compatible Chains by 7D Active Addresses: Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum & Others
Today’s data from crypto analyst Nansen spotted significant changes in user activity across EVM-compatible chains . The data listed the top EVM blockchains in terms of the number of active addresses noted over the past seven days.
Top 7 EVM Chains by 7D active addresses
Base
According to the data, Base has become the most popular EVM-compatible blockchain with regard to active addresses. Over the past seven days, the chain registered 9.78 million active addresses, representing an increase of 42%, marking an operational milestone in its platform. This shows that Base is a major EVM-compatible chain that attracts significant numbers of users to interact with decentralized apps operating on top of its network.
BNB Chain
BNB Chain is the second-largest Ethereum-compatible blockchain, which over the past seven days, recorded 7.88 million active addresses, accounting for a 4.8% increase. These figures show users’ interest in the EVM chain. The chain hosts a broad range of Ethereum decentralized applications running on the blockchain.
Ethereum
Despite being the original and primary EVM chain, Ethereum is third on the list. The EVM chain experienced 2.18 million active addresses, accounting for a 9.2% increase. This indicates that users are shifting to EVM chains that are faster and more affordable in terms of transaction processing and cost-effectiveness, like BNB Chain and Base.
0xPolygon
0xPolygon is one of the most popular Ethereum Layer-2 blockchains. Based on this list, it’s the fourth-biggest EVM-compatible chain by active addresses. The chain had 2.08 million active addresses in the last seven days, an increase of 2.5%.
Sei Network
Sei Network, a major Layer-1 blockchain, is a fully EVM-compatible chain. As reported by the data, it is the fifth-largest EVM-compatible chain, which over the past week, had 1.46 million active addresses, an increase of 64%, a testimony that users trust the platform.
Others
Other top EVM-compatible blockchains by active addresses are Arbitrum and Avalanche.
As per the data, Arbitrum is another rapidly growing EVM-compatible chain that had 1.031 million active addresses, an increase of 5.9%.
Avalanche wrapped this list as the seventh-largest EVM-compatible blockchain. Over the past week, the EVM chain had 1.01 million active addresses, accounting for a 27% rise.
