Pawtocol's data collection and normalization will create a standard language for the pet industry and will serve as the basis for several focused apis and pet health related research. The data collected on the platform will benefit every participant and pet parent/owner in the industry.
crowd verification
One of Pawtocol's central themes is to put power in the hands of the consumer. Proprietary crowdsourced verification systems do just that. Pet food and products will be proven safe through repeated "reviews" from various iot and diagnostic tools connected to the Pawtocol platform. Once a food, toy or beauty product has been vetted by enough users and shown to be healthy, the product (not the business itself) will be crowd validated and treated as crowd validated.
Local veterinarians and service providers will take a more traditional approach to gaining fame. Along with the results accumulated through crowdsourcing data collection (pet health results), veterinarians will have unbiased information to support their performance records. In addition, businesses will gain exposure from positive reviews from users who transact with them through the Pawtocol platform.

Data market to facilitate the exchange of pet data. Data is a valuable modern commodity. With the influx of wearable devices for pets, pet owners are collecting more detailed data than ever before. Collected in isolation, this data is of little value. However, the value increases exponentially when detailed data is aggregated and insights gained through analysis.
Pawtocol will provide an open source platform for researchers, marketers, manufacturers and veterinarians to request, purchase, organize and analyze detailed pet data captured through the platform. Pet parents/owners on the platform will decide with whom to share their data and will always retain ownership of the data. This means parents/owners will be able to monetize their own data, bringing balance to the pet industry's data economy.
Product and service markets
A hybrid e-commerce marketplace where pet parents, suppliers and service providers can freely buy and sell pet products and services through this application. All goods and services sold will be subject to ongoing quality assurance by users on the platform.
The base currency that facilitates transactions between parties in the product and data market will be UPI tokens. UPI tokens will streamline the onboarding process and enable participants to trade immediately, safely, easily and securely.
