Ross Ulbricht

Ross Ulbricht, the founder of Silk Road, has been in prison since 2013 for a first-time, nonviolent crime. Silk Road was an anonymous e-commerce site where users could trade a variety of goods, including small amounts of marijuana, but harmful items were prohibited. While Ulbricht was not convicted of selling illegal items, he was held liable for items sold by others on the platform. Ulbricht has served 11 years in prison, and if elected, Donald Trump has vowed to commute Ulbricht's sentence to the full time served and bring him home.
