Raze Network is a Substrate based cross-chain privacy protocol for Polkadot ecosystems. It is building cross-chain privacy middleware for DeFi and Web3.0. It is a native privacy layer that provides end-to-end anonymity for the entire DeFi and Web3.0 stack.

The goal is to enable cross-chain privacy to protect payment and transaction systems, while protecting the transparency of your assets and behavior from surveillance. Eventually, Raze Network can anonymize all cryptocurrencies on all chains.

RAZE is a native utility token used for:

RAZE tokens act as core utilities in the RAZE Network ecosystem. It can capture values including, but not limited to:

• Privacy protection: RAZE enables DeFi users to move seamlessly between the application and the blockchain, while leaving no trace of transaction history or interaction with the application.

• Governance and voting: RAZE token holders can create proposals and vote on them

• Exchange intermediaries: RAZE tokens can be used for different services in the ecosystem.

• Token destruction: A percentage of the transaction fee is destroyed as RAZE tokens.

• Liquidity reward: Market makers who provide liquidity in the pool will be rewarded with RAZE tokens.

Raze Network will apply Zether framework to build the second layer of decentralized anonymous payment module. It is then imported as a base-based smart contract.

It will contain three technical modules:

• Mint: The Mint module converts the base token to its anonymous version

• Transfer: Transfer module is a module to achieve anonymous token anonymous transmission

• Exchange: The exchange module converts the anonymous token back to its native form.

To sum up, Raze uses public key homomorphic encryption to keep transaction details confidential, and uses "one to many" proofs to hide the identity of sender and receiver. Some other zero-knowledge proof schemes are also used to guarantee consistency of payments.
