MacaronSwap, a decentralized cross-chain trading and agricultural platform, uses an automated market maker (AMM) model. This means that while you can trade digital assets on the platform, there is no order book that you can match with other people. Instead, you trade with a pool of working capital. These pools are filled with money from other users. They deposit it in a pool and receive liquidity provider (or LP) tokens in return. They can use these tokens to recoup their share, plus a portion of transaction fees.
