Ergo Platform is a secure, resilient, open-source, permissionless, truly decentralized underlying public blockchain platform for DeFi apps that was built from the ground up. Its primary focus is to provide an efficient, secure and easy way to implement financial contracts. Based on a new PoW consensus mechanism called Autolykos, Ergo never abandons PoW and always keeps it. Ergo adopts the EUTXO model that integrates the advantages of both the UTXO model and the account model. Ergo is built by a top-notch blockchain development team with a decade of theoretical research and practical experience led by Alexander Chepurnoy (alias kushti, a well-known blockchain geek in Github).
