Traders can bet whether assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and XRP will close above or below their starting prices in five minutes; those who predict correctly receive $1 per contract, while incorrect predictions yield zero. The product structure resembles binary options. At launch, the CFTC is re-evaluating whether Polymarket complies with its 2022 settlement terms and is also scrutinizing customer protection measures on its U.S. platform.
