Ethereum Foundation and Open Anonymity introduced zkAPI on October 1st: Users first deposit funds into an Ethereum contract, then use zero-knowledge proofs to authorize limited API usage. Service providers can confirm that fees are secured, but they do not need to know which on-chain deposit or payment identity completed the request.
This design separates the content path and payment path, but does not make everything automatically anonymous. The official clearly warned: API providers can still see the request content, IP, time patterns, writing style, and repeated context may also re-associate sessions. Payment privacy, network anonymity, and content confidentiality remain different levels of issues.
AnubisChain takes selective privacy as a core capability and lists AI as one of the ecological directions. For AI Agents and machine services, the future is not only about whether automatic payments can be made, but also about whether they can prove the right to use services while reducing unnecessary identity exposure.
API privacy is not just about who sees the content, but also who can link the payer
