Odaily Planet Daily reports that Yunfeng Financial, indirectly owned by Jack Ma, has been included in the list of eligible securities for the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect and Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect programs, effective September 7, 2026. Following inclusion, eligible mainland Chinese investors can trade the Group's shares listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange through domestic securities companies via the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect and Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect, providing a more convenient channel for mainland investors to invest in the Group's shares. Yunfeng Financial previously disclosed that it had cumulatively purchased 10,000 ETH on the open market, with a total investment cost (including fees and expenses) of US$44 million. The purchase funds came from the Group's internal cash reserves, and the purchased ETH is listed as an investment asset in the Group's financial statements. Furthermore, Yunfeng Financial stated that, in addition to Ethereum, it plans to explore including diversified mainstream digital assets such as Bitcoin (BTC) and Solana (SOL) in its strategic reserve assets.
Yunfeng Financial, in which Jack Ma indirectly holds shares, has been included in the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect and Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect programs. It previously disclosed the purchase of 10,000 ETH.
