Reasons for yesterday's surge: • US Treasury expands long-term debt repurchase agreements (single transaction limit raised to $4 billion, effective September) • SEC proposes "safe harbor" framework for crypto asset regulation • Approximately $1.92 billion in liquidations (US$1.44 billion from short positions), coupled with net inflows of approximately $487 million into ETFs over two consecutive days. Today's strategy (based on August 20th market conditions, BTC≈69,500, ETH≈2,250): BTC (key level 70,000) • Long: Buy lightly on a pullback to 68,000-68,500 with a stop loss below 67,500, target 69,500-70,000; if it breaks and holds above 70,000 with volume, consider a light long position with a stop loss at 69,500, target 72,000-73,000. • Short selling: Try shorting at 69,500–70,000, stop loss above 70,500, target 68,000–67,500 (against the trend, be sure to use small positions and strict stop loss). ETH (stronger than BTC, resistance at 2,300) • Long selling: Buy on pullbacks to 2,070–2,095, stop loss at 2,050, target 2,250–2,300. • Short selling: Try shorting at 2,300–2,350, stop loss at 2,380, target 2,200–2,150. • Risk warnings: • The surge was driven by short liquidation rather than spot buying, its sustainability is questionable, and there is short-term downward pressure. • August is historically weak; whether the $70,000 level can be held will determine the trend. • This article is time-sensitive; for follow-up trading, please check my homepage QQ.
