Odaily星球日报讯 BIP-110 分叉新工作量证明算法的选择过程陷入混乱。Luke Dashjr 提议使用 14:00 UTC 之后出现的首个 Testnet4 区块哈希最后一个字符来决定算法。Peter Todd 称该方法是“极其疯狂的决定”，认为 Testnet4 区块的挖矿成本足够低，可能有人通过刻意反复计算哈希来迫使结果指向偏好的算法。随后，多个竞争性 Testnet4 区块出现在同一高度。在 BIP-110 Discord 中，Luke Dashjr 回应称：“我更加困惑了。”一名参与者表示，在算法尚未确认前已订购 Blake2b ASIC，随后称“我想还是取消订单吧”。Luke Dashjr 此后承认，Testnet4“不是执行此事的好方法”，并提出可以考虑使用一个有效的比特币区块。Giacomo Zucco 称，这一事件说明，如今要以公平方式“重新启动比特币”几乎不可能。（Bitcoin News）
