According to BlockBeats, on July 27, Meritz Securities analyst Kim Sun-woo stated that SK Hynix is expected to report record second-quarter results, driven by one-off investment gains and rising semiconductor prices.
The analyst estimates that SK Hynix's pre-tax profit for April to June will exceed 100 trillion won, including 6.01 trillion won in operating profit and 4.16 trillion won in investment income from its stake in Kioxia through US private equity firm Bain Capital. This performance would surpass the company's record operating profit of 5.88 trillion won set in the first quarter. He added that DRAM and NAND flash memory chip prices rose by 30% and 49%, respectively, in the second quarter.
