According to Gate.com data, during the opening session of the US stock market, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.36%, the S&P 500 rose 0.4%, and the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.3%. SanDisk (SNDK.O) fell 2.7%, and Western Digital (WDC.O) fell 6%, as the market believed that the two companies' earnings guidance fell short of expectations. ExxonMobil (XOM.N) and Chevron (CVX.N) fell 1.1% and 1.2%, respectively. Apple (AAPL.O) rose 2.7%.
