According to Odaily Planet Daily, BlackRock executive Rick Rieder is currently a leading candidate to head the Federal Reserve, but his past donations to Trump's main political opponents and top Democrats could be a potential variable in Trump's decision to appoint him to the Fed, given his emphasis on loyalty. Polymarket data suggests Rieder has a 32% chance of being nominated by Trump. Federal Election Commission (FEC) data shows Rieder has a history of cross-party donations, having funded Democrats Pete Buttigieg and Cory Booker in 2020 and Jeb Bush in 2016. Importantly, he has never provided financial support to Trump in the 2016, 2020, and 2024 elections. FEC records also show that Rieder's donations have included top Democrats such as Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries, and Mark Warner, as well as Republican establishment figures like Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan. Her political donation history began in 2005, and her largest donation since the 2020 election was $15,825 to a group supporting Nikki Haley in December 2023.
