Odaily Planet Daily News: According to data from Programs, the 'blue wave' surge by the U.S. Democratic Party in the midterm elections has intensified market concerns over the pace of data center construction. As of November 4, about half of the 69 data center projects canceled since the beginning of 2024 were due to local resident opposition—the primary reason for project cancellations. The website also shows that at least four data center projects have been canceled in the U.S. since October; in the third quarter alone, at least 17 projects were canceled, the highest number since the start of 2024. Since the second half of this year, canceled data center projects have already approached the total number expected for the entire year of 2025.
