Five-minute cryptocurrency price movement prediction market launches on Polymarket US platform

Odaily Planet Daily News: Polymarket has launched five-minute cryptocurrency price movement betting contracts on its U.S. platform regulated by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Traders can bet whether assets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and XRP will close above or below their starting prices in five minutes; those who predict correctly receive $1 per contract, while incorrect predictions yield zero. The product structure resembles binary options. At launch, the CFTC is re-evaluating whether Polymarket complies with its 2022 settlement terms and is also scrutinizing customer protection measures on its U.S. platform.
