According to a report by Bitcoin News on the X platform, Chilean cryptocurrency exchange Orionx has suspended withdrawals and is gradually ceasing operations after a forensic audit discovered that over $7 million had been transferred to wallets it could not control. Orionx has filed criminal charges, naming founders Joaquín Díaz and Roberto Zibert, alleging that customer assets were used for external transactions between 2018 and 2021. The Chilean Financial Markets Commission stated that Orionx continued operating after its fintech business license was rejected in July. Over 100,000 users are unable to obtain a guarantee of a full refund of their assets.
