Odaily reports that Hargreaves Lansdown, the UK's largest retail investment platform, has announced the opening of nine Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded notes (ETNs) to its 2 million customers. Providers include BlackRock iShares, CoinShares, WisdomTree, 21Shares, Invesco, and Bitwise, with annual fees ranging from 0% to 0.35%. New buyers are required to complete a suitability assessment and wait 24 hours before trading can commence. This opening comes less than a year after the platform previously warned customers against investing in cryptocurrencies, following the UK Financial Conduct Authority's (FCA) lifting of the retail ban on crypto ETPs in October 2025.
With over $200 billion in assets under management, Hargreaves Lansdown has opened up nine Bitcoin and Ethereum ETNs to 2 million clients.
