According to BlockBeats, on July 27, South Korean media reported that six leading Silicon Valley venture capital firms—Sequoia Capital, a16z, Khosla Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, General Catalyst, and NEA—signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Pension Fund of Korea (NPS). The two parties plan to cooperate on global investment opportunity discovery, investment information sharing, and the construction of an international venture capital network.

The South Korean government is currently accelerating efforts to attract overseas venture capital, coupled with the launch of the 200 trillion won National Growth Fund. The market expects that South Korea's strategic industries such as AI and semiconductors will receive multiple support from policy funds, overseas venture capital, and private capital.

However, some industry insiders pointed out that a large influx of funds into a few popular companies may drive up market valuations and increase the risk of valuation corrections during future IPOs and M&A exits, thereby affecting the performance of investment funds.
