The Digital Assets Association (DAA) Singapore will hold the second edition of its Digital Assets Summit (DAS2026) on Oct. 6 at SGX Centre, the non-profit industry group announced on Sept. 29. The organisers expect more than 500 attendees, 40 speakers and 30 industry partners drawn from financial institutions, technology providers, regulators and crypto firms.
Senior Minister of State Desmond Tan will attend as guest of honour. Confirmed speakers include Heng Swee Keat, chairman of the National Research Foundation and a former Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore, and Ivan Han, chief risk officer of Singapore Exchange.
The programme covers tokenised bonds, funds and real-world assets, as well as stablecoins and tokenised deposits used in payments, treasury and foreign exchange. Sessions will also address the changing role of financial intermediaries, cybersecurity, fraud prevention, compliance and operational resilience, AI in finance, and the interoperability and regulatory coordination needed to connect markets across jurisdictions.
The DAA frames the event around a shift in the industry's questions. "Two years ago, much of the conversation was about whether tokenised assets would move beyond experimentation. Today, the question is no longer whether tokenisation will move beyond the sandbox, but how far and how quickly it can scale," said Danny Chong, co-chairman of DAA Singapore. He said the next phase would centre on "managing liquidity and risk in a 24/7 environment, and meeting regulatory requirements across jurisdictions."
Chia Hock Lai, the association's other co-chairman and chairman of the Responsible Fintech Institute, said that as the industry grows, "interoperability, security, compliance, and governance need to keep pace with technology."
The association cites Asia as accounting for 60% of global stablecoin payment volume, and puts the value of real-world assets on public blockchains at about $30 billion after roughly 300% growth in 2025. The release does not give sources for either figure.
