Banking Circle to Power OSL’s Stablecoin-to-Fiat Payments Across Six Currencies

USD MAIN

Banking Circle S.A. has expanded its collaboration with OSL Group (HKEX: 863), a global stablecoin payment and trading platform, to support OSL’s business solutions across five additional currencies beyond the euro, the two firms said in a joint announcement published on September 15, 2026. The Luxembourg-licensed bank is now supporting OSL across six currencies — AUD, EUR, GBP, HKD, SGD and USD — as the Hong Kong-listed company’s business-to-business arm expands into new markets.

Fiat Settlement and Liquidity on One Platform

Under the expanded agreement, Banking Circle will supply OSL with the infrastructure to streamline fiat settlement, crypto conversion and liquidity management across its business platforms. Using Banking Circle’s 24/7 instant payment network BC-Now, OSL lets institutional clients receive, convert and settle funds 365 days a year through a single, compliant platform — removing the need to manage multiple banking relationships across different jurisdictions. Banking Circle described the arrangement as giving OSL a faster and more controlled way to move money across markets, currencies and rails through a single licensed-bank platform.

Regulatory Frameworks Speed Institutional Adoption

The expansion arrives as clearer digital-asset rules, including MiCAR in Europe and the GENIUS Act in the United States, push institutions toward regulated payment rails. OSL’s European subsidiary, OSL EU, was recently authorized as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider by Austria’s Financial Market Authority under MiCAR, a step the firms said further strengthens OSL’s global footprint. The companies said institutions now need reliable fiat connectivity to enable seamless payments and compliant on- and off-ramps as stablecoins move deeper into regulated financial services. The pairing mirrors the broader shift toward stablecoin settlement rails, such as MVB and Velocity joining the Visa Direct stablecoin settlement network .

From Trading Venue to Payments Provider

OSL’s chief commercial officer Eugene Cheung said the next phase of digital-asset adoption “will be driven by real-world payment use cases,” as businesses move seamlessly between fiat and stablecoins. Kirit Bhatia, chief digital assets officer at Banking Circle, added that the expansion shows how digital-asset firms are “moving beyond trading into real payment use cases.” It also extends a run of stablecoin payment launches this year, including Coinbase and Moov bringing stablecoin payments to more than 1,000 community banks .
