EDX Integrates Fireblocks Network Link to Streamline Institutional Asset Transfers

EDX Markets, an institutional-only digital asset trading venue with a central clearinghouse, and Fireblocks, the enterprise platform securing more than $16 trillion in digital asset transactions, said on Sept. 9 that they have integrated Fireblocks Network Link to make it easier for clients to move and manage assets. The integration lets Fireblocks customers connect directly to EDX and shift capital across the venue using the workflows they already operate, while EDX positions its marketplace to emulate the world’s most sophisticated exchanges with deep liquidity, firm prices and low trading costs.

What the integration changes

Fireblocks clients can now connect to EDX using their existing Fireblocks workflows to transfer assets, allocate funds across accounts and rebalance liquidity. The two companies framed the move as a response to fragmentation across liquidity pools, geographies, products and operating models, which can create operational challenges as regulated financial firms expand into digital assets. The integration removes the need for separate workflows across individual venues, according to an announcement the companies published .

Why institutions need connected infrastructure

“Institutional adoption of digital assets requires infrastructure that can support the speed and efficiency standards sophisticated firms expect from global financial markets,” said Tony Acuña-Rohter, chief executive of EDX Markets. “By enabling Fireblocks Network Link, we’re making it easier for clients to move capital into and out of EDX within the workflows they already use.” EDX combines an institution-only trading venue with a central clearinghouse and is backed by some of the world’s leading trading and venture capital firms, while Fireblocks secures more than $16 trillion in digital asset transactions. EDX also separates trading from clearing, a structure the company says minimizes risk for members while providing operational and capital efficiencies.

A step toward deeper institutional rails

Beyond trading, the integration lets clients fund accounts and rebalance liquidity as market conditions shift while maintaining greater control over their digital assets. The collaboration reflects a broader push by regulated venues to build connected infrastructure that reduces friction across trading, clearing and asset management, similar to how other exchanges have integrated Fireblocks for institutional crypto trading . EDX said the change gives market participants greater flexibility to deploy capital and act on opportunities across the digital asset ecosystem.
