Odaily Planet Daily reports that ahead of Changxin Technology's IPO, several ETF fund managers, including Huaxia Fund and Harvest Fund, issued notices reminding investors that some of their ETFs participated in the IPO of Changxin Technology and valued it at the issue price. However, the Inference Value Per Share (IOPV) of these ETFs only includes the issue price and does not account for market price fluctuations. Therefore, the IOPV of the ETFs on the first day of Changxin Technology's listing may differ from the net asset value per share. Investors are advised to pay attention to the relevant investment risks. An ETF fund manager explained that fund companies generally participate in ETF IPOs together with actively managed equity funds. The IOPV of ETFs is strictly calculated according to the PCF list, excluding newly listed shares and other restricted non-constituent stocks. The surge in Changxin Technology's share price on its first day of listing could lead to the actual net asset value per share of ETFs participating in the IPO being slightly higher than the IOPV, indicating a deviation. In this situation, potential arbitrage strategies include buying the ETF while simultaneously hedging with derivatives, only retaining the excess exposure to the deviation. (China Securities Taurus)
