SORA is about creating a supranational economic system that can efficiently provide capital to producers to advance human progress, as well as a supranational and democratic governance structure that distributes capital in a fair way. It is both a new economic system with a decentralized central bank concept and a network that implements a new approach to building a parallel chain blockchain that connects to the Polkadot relay chain and ecosystem via built-in tools focused on DeFi.

SORA Network specializes in providing tools for decentralized applications that use digital assets, such as atomic token exchange, bridging tokens to other blockchains, and creating programmatic rules involving digital assets.

SORA's underlying network connects Ethereum and Bitcoin, enabling cross-chain communication with both blockchains, as well as connecting to Polkadot and Kusama. This allows the Ethereum and Bitcoin communities to use SORA to access Polkadot and Kusama via a user-friendly bridge. With Polkaswap integration, users can trade any asset on Ethereum and Bitcoin on Polkadot and Kusama networks and provide true cross-chain exchange.

SORA Council is the governance system of SORA network, whose main task is to allocate newly generated XORS to productive projects. It has multiple clearly decentralized institutions, with members (citizens) chosen at random. It is built around three main concepts:

• Isonomia: Every citizen has the principle of political equality

• Isegoria: All citizens have a voice and the right to contribute

• Sortition: randomly select citizen groups to make decisions
