Harmony plans to shut down its mainnet, and ONE will migrate to Ethereum and shift its focus to AI video editing.

Odaily Planet Daily reports that Harmony has released two proposals to completely shut down its mainnet, launched in 2019, migrate its native token ONE to Ethereum, and shift its focus to AI video editing services. The team stated that the threat posed by state-sponsored attackers and AI agents is the reason for proposing the network shutdown plan. The migration plan proposes to take a snapshot of ONE in user wallets, staking delegation, validator rewards, smart contracts, and centralized exchanges during the last block of the network. New ONE will then be airdropped to the same wallet addresses on Ethereum, without requiring holders to actively claim them. Delegated staking and unclaimed rewards will be airdropped to their respective governance vaults. The total supply and issuance rate of ONE will remain unchanged. The newly issued tokens will be used for the new business, and feedback from governance will be considered.
