According to BlockBeats, on September 4th, Hargreaves Lansdown, the UK's largest retail investment platform (managing over $200 billion in assets), announced that it is opening up nine Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded notes (ETN) products to its 2 million customers. Providers include BlackRock iShares, CoinShares, WisdomTree, 21Shares, Invesco, and Bitwise, with annual fees ranging from 0% to 0.35%.
This move comes less than a year after the platform warned customers against investing in cryptocurrencies, and is a response to policy adjustments following the UK Financial Conduct Authority's (FCA) lifting of the retail ban on crypto ETPs in October 2025. The platform requires new buyers to complete a suitability assessment and wait 24 hours before trading can commence. (CoinDesk)
