Huoxun Finance reported on February 22 that SBI Holdings, a major Japanese financial group, announced the launch of its first blockchain-based bond for individual investors – the 10 billion yen (approximately US$64.5 million) SBISTARTBonds. This bond combines traditional fixed-income features, blockchain settlement, and cryptocurrency XRP rewards. SBISTARTBonds is managed entirely on the blockchain through BOOSTRY's "ibetforFin" platform, with a three-year term and an expected annual interest rate between 1.85% and 2.45%, payable semi-annually. Eligible investors must purchase at least 100,000 yen (approximately US$650) worth of bonds through the SBIVCTrade platform to receive XRP rewards based on their investment amount. Each 100,000 yen will earn 200 yen worth of XRP as a reward, which will be distributed at the time of issuance and on each interest payment date (until 2029).

Huoxun Finance reported on February 21 that Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas stated that Bitcoin's unique value lies in its user-driven nature and its censorship-resistant and debasement-resistant properties, neither of which have changed. He believes that while the importance of censorship resistance may seem to decline in developed markets in the short term due to the current US government's friendly attitude towards Bitcoin, it remains practically useful in emerging markets and may become more prominent again in the coming years. Furthermore, he noted that Bitcoin is still relatively "young," with high price volatility and narratives easily swayed by price; investors should distinguish between price noise and long-term value.
