this is MASSIVE for Ethereum’s scaling roadmap:
- block gas-limit increase: ~45M → 150M
- PeerDAS: blob capacity 6 → 48
- verkle trees: 150KB → ~1-2KB
- L2 throughput: ~1.3 MB/sec → ~10 MB/sec
- L2 calldata: 70–90% cheaper
what do these mean?
1. scaling and value accrual
– more adoption, more economic activity
– more demand for ETH blockspace + gas
2. better L2 economics
– rollups become much cheaper
– users + devs get a far better experience
3. lower barrier for validators
– PeerDAS + Verkle reduce bandwidth/storage
– easier to run nodes, stronger decentralization
4. better UX
– more predictable fees
– faster confirmations on L2
– less congestion
ethereum is evolving faster than anyone realizes.
