After years of hesitation, Russia is taking a cautious yet significant step toward recognizing cryptocurrency, but only for international trade. On Tuesday, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov confirmed that Russia’s Finance Ministry and the Central Bank of Russia (CBR) have reached an agreement to legalize digital assets for cross-border transactions.
